| Trouble launching the game |

Hello
I have a problem with Painkiller. Every time i launch the PainkillerSetup exe file it just doesn't work. I wait for 15 minutes, nothing happens... I tried many times. How can this be resolved?

Hi.
Does the autorun window even appear or are you trying to do a direct install through setup icon?
Please check the setup compactability before installing.
Which version of the game are you installing anyway?
Had you previously installed Painkiller?
What is your OS? I realy hope it is WINXP.

Well first time i tried to install, no autorun window appeared so i clicked on the setup file, but the next day the autorun window appeared after a long time, i clicked run the painkiller setup in the window that showed up, but nothing happended after 5 minutes, then i tried again to open the setup exe file but the same thing again...
Well and it's Painkiller Black Edition, from a DVD and it is the first time i install it. And also, unfortunately my OS isn't XP, it's Vista but that's not a problem appearently...

If your using vista try "running as admin" to do this right click on the .exe and press "run as administrator"
usually works for most anything

I tried Run as aministrator, and it worked ! Still had to wait a long time, which is strange, but the game is working, and is great !

Vista is bad deal...
Painkiller was designed for WINXP.
Non less to that, usualy users owning Vista had dual core processors, i hope you don't, or don't expect then to play Painkiller online then...

Just purchased the gold edition and that direct x renderer error pos up. I'm running windows xp and directx 9. Can anything be done?
